Local congregations of Churches of Christ have an important impact on the education of college students.

Congregations committed to the personal and spiritual development of their members and to the mission of the church in the world, and who have developed creative means of achieving these objectives, play an important role in the education of ministry candidates. They model these initiatives and, at the same time, deepen the experience for the student by giving them positive, hands-on experience of what they would otherwise merely observe.

Congregations that provide opportunities for student ministry and are involved in Supervised Field Education give helpful evaluation to the students which plays a significant role in the educational process.
