choosing
a course All
the courses we offer lead to tertiary awards accredited by the Melbourne
College of Divinity CRICOS Provider No. 01037A. These range from diploma to
doctoral levels, each articulating into the next level of study. For each course,
the time stated represents the number of years of fulltime study necessary to
complete the course. Part-time study is an option for all courses. Click the orange
buttons on the left for details and brochures on each course of study. They are
divided into: - diplomas
or a degree for those who have no prior tertiary qualification or who wish to
take a first degree in theology
- graduate
awards, for those who already have a tertiary degree in an area other than theology
- postgraduate
awards, for those who have a tertiary qualification in theology and wish to proceed
to a second degree in theology or to a higher research degree.
The
diplomas and degree courses offered, as well as the Master of Divinity and Master
of Theological Studies degrees, are government recognised tertiary courses which
attract Austudy if undertaken at a 75% of a fulltime load or more. Austudy is
a living allowance paid to eligible Australian students in order to gain primary-level
tertiary qualifications. Austudy is administered by CentreLink, to whom enquiries
should be directed. You may be eligable for Austudy provided you meet the income
and citizenship requirements and have not used your Austudy entitlement previously. Students
may also enrol in a single subject without taking it towards a specific degree,
or audit a unit. In
choosing an award, you should ask:
- have
I got the necessary prerequisites?
- where
do I want this award to lead?
- how
much time do I have for study?
- can
I complete the award within the maximum time?
The
CCTC Registrar is always happy to discuss your requirements to ensure you make
the right choice. Ring and make an appointment. For
prospective ministry candidates and those seeking endorsement within Churches
of Christ there is also information about ministry formation and endorsement on
these pages. |
