Shaping Australia’s Spirituality – National Roundtable 2010

Four days of conversations on faith within the Australian context, now and into the future. Each day will bring together an exploration of Christian principles with contemporary research and reflection on Christian ministry and mission. In the afternoon, small groups will explore the variety of contemporary forms of ministry.

•Wednesday 1st September: Spirituality of Youth.
•Thursday 2nd September: Spirituality in Family, Workplace and Community.
•Friday 3rd September: Spirituality in the Church.

Children & Families Ministry Symposium

This Symposium is for anyone with an interest in current research being undertaken in the area of ministry with children and families. Topics to be explored include:
1. The Child in 1 Corinthians 13: a more excellent way
2. Godly Play, the state of play: UK, USA and Australia
3. Exploring children's spiritual expression of 'wonder' in the natural world

4. Pastoral Care of Childhood: Assessing models of pastoral care in the light of a developing theology of childhood

This conference is a collaborative project sponsored by Australian College of Theology, Australian Catholic University, Charles Sturt University, Melbourne College of Divinity and Sydney College of Divinity. The conference will bring together postgraduate students researching in Theology and Philosophy from across the Higher Education sector in order to promote the place of those disciplines in Australian research.
