DM124/224.15
New Paradigms for the Missional Church
This unit will introduce the paradigm shifts required for the
church to take an intentionally missional stance in a Western
cultural context. It will explore the implications of postmodernity
for mission. It will assess the missional effectiveness of the
paradigms of the early church and of Christendom. It will propose
a paradigm for the emerging missional church, involving examination
of the nature of the church and its mission as well as contemporary
Western approaches to mission.
-
Upon
successful completion of this unit students will be able to:
-
1.Articulate
some of the significant features of postmodernity and their
implications for mission.

church.
