DP114.15 Theological Reflection and Christian Vocation: Introduction to Ministry Studies

Foundational Unit for MDiv

(Undergraduate)

Upon successful completion of this unit students will be able to:
1. Review critically their experiences in the community of faith, and begin to explore and describe various models of Church, Christian vocation, and theological reflection;
2. Develop an awareness of the diversity of ministry styles and opportunities, with emphasis upon Christian vocation in a variety of contexts - lay, bi-vocational, and ordained ministry;
3. Draw upon Scripture and theology to examine critically their implicit theological models and exegetical presuppositions in the context of faith formation;
4. Develop and describe their understanding of vocation as they reflect theologically and pastorally on their studies and experiences.
