Dianne
Boon ministers with children at the Mornington Baptist Church. She also studies
Children's Ministry at CCTC. She says, This subject has been a highlight of
my week! It has helped shape and clarify, from a theological basis, why I do what
I do in Children's Ministry.

how to outline a theology of the child and the implications for ministry with
children. Establish the case for family ministry as part of the churchs
ministry with children. Plan a strategy for a community-linked outreach based
on family related ministries. Relate positively and creatively to the spirituality
of a child. Identify ways that traditional thinking has shaped attitudes towards
children. Evaluate different approaches.

simply treats them with the respect they deserve as bearers of the Kingdom (Mark
10:14)
THE
LECTURER - Brent Allred MA; BA(Theol);
Dip Missiology.
Brent
leads the Member Care team for Pioneers of Australia, a mission agency engaged
in church planting amongst the world’s unreached and forgotten people. Prior to
this he was children’s and family minister at Ringwood Church of Christ. He has
also worked as children’s ministry specialist with Scripture Union. Brent has
written and consulted extensively on ministry with children and families, including
participation at international conferences such as Lausanne. He recently completed
a Masters thesis through CCTC on the use of film and literature in children’s
Christian education. Brent is the co-founder and past-president of the Victoria
Children’s Ministry Network.
